Street Style - Lauren Hardcastle

Hi guys,
So I recently applied for a chance to blog with College Fashionista as an intern, for the interview I had to write a mock editorial piece on street style, I asked my friend  Lauren if I could take some pictures of her outfit  and thankfully she agreed! I did a small interview with her too so I just thought I'd share with you what I had done.

Name: Lauren Hardcastle
Degree: Fashion Promotion with styling
Year: Fresher

College Fashionista: What are you wearing and where is it from?
LH: My coat was £10 in a Primark sale, my scarf is from TK Maxx which I got as a Christmas present last year, my jeans are from Topshop, my trainers are from New Look and my bag is also from Primark.

CF: What inspires your style?
LH: I mainly find that street style inspires my style, I also have a blog and a YouTube channel where I find a lot of my ideas for outfits from, one of my style icons from the digital world is a YouTuber and blogger called idressmyself/prettysickly I find myself looking at her YouTube videos and blog to see what she is wearing and then adapt the outfits to my liking. I also like to post my outfits on my blog (laurensandrah.blogspot.com) and on my YouTube (Lauren Hardcastle) so I can hopefully inspire other people’s outfits.

CF: What are your favourite items of clothing in your wardrobe?
LH: I love all my vintage pieces that I pick up from vintage stores and from charity shops. I like these pieces because I know that no one else has them and that it’s my individual look. I also like these pieces because I can wear them all year round and they can be dressed up and dressed down.

CF: What is next on your shopping list?
LH: I want to buy more coats; I want to have a variation of coats so I can switch outfits up because after a while having one coat gets boring.

How To: Lauren’s look is very street/grunge, to get a look like this, you just have to look at what everyone else round you is wearing and change it up to make it your style, for example, Lauren’s scarf can be changed for a brighter colour such as a mustard yellow that will bring a pop of colour to the outfit, this can always be paired with a plain black jacket with leather sleeves which will give the outfit a more sophisticated look.

Style On,
